Are you looking for a new way to liven up your grilling game? Tired off just doing a mediocre burger on the grill?  You know the 4th is right around the corner and you need to be looking like a grilling rockstar, and you need to make it look effortless.

Well look who has just what you need to be rocking the perfect burger?

The hardest thing about this recipe is choosing what toppings to place on top.

WHY YOU WANT TO MAKE THESE MUSHROOM BEEF BURGERS.

Is there anything better than a juicy burger off the grill on a summer night?  We both know the answer is “no way Jose!”  This burger is stepping up its burger game by adding a bit of Worcestershire sauce and sauteed mushrooms to take your burger to the next level of awesome!

What makes this great for serving during the family during the week or impressing everyone at the BBQ this weekend, is that this burger can be prepped ahead of time and takes no time to prepare.

If you are looking for great quality grass fed beef, I highly recommend ButcherBox.  I am a huge fan and can’t tell you enough how impressed I am with the quality of the beef that they sell.  I used their ground beef in this recipe.

You can order your own on line and the price starts at $129 a month and comes with 7-10 pounds of meat, which is enough for at least 20 individual size meals. The price works out to $6.50 a meal and shipping is FREE to the contiguous 48 states!

These Mushroom Beef Burgers are moist and flavorful. Using grass fed beef, a combination of gourmet mushrooms gives these burgers a robust flavor that makes them leagues better than a plain on beef burger.
Ingredients
  • 1 pound lean farm raised ground beef
  • 5 ounce groumet blend mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ cup finely chopped yellow onion, about 1/3 medium yellow onion
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg
  • 4 slices swiss cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns, gluten free if possible
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a non stick pan over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook stirring until mushrooms are lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and dice.
  2. Meanwhile combine egg, Italian seasoning, and Worcestershire in a large bowl and whisk. Toss in onion, diced mushroom, and ground beef.
  3. Using your hands squeeze ingredients together so that it becomes completely combined. Once combined, divide into fourths. Tightly pack each fourth into tight ball. Place onto a plate and push down gently. Put in refrigerator to firm up.
  4. Heat grill to medium heat, place burgers on hot grill and cook for 5 minutes, flip and cook an additional 5 minutes. Turn off grill heat, place cheese on each burger and cover grill until cheese is melted, about 1 minute.
  5. Remove and let sit for a few minutes before serving.
  6. Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings.

I haven’t added veggies to beef burgers in ages, but I am so glad for the reminder. I have to try this! Yum!
