Nutrition is the Foundation of Your Life

Do you want more control over your life? How you feel, how you look, in your relationships?

The answer to gaining that control is really rather simple, eat better. I mean it! It is really that simple!

Let me explain why I believe this!

What you eat defines the rest of your life I know this seems a bit extreme to think about it this way.

What you eat controls your mood and your energy level. Let’s face it those two things control how your whole day goes.

  • Will you be in a good mood, and patient with your loved ones?
  • Will you be mentally sharp in that business meeting or when solving that problem at work or home?
  • Will you go for that run that you know makes you feel better, or go to that gym class that will make you stronger?

If you eat a crappy, sugar-filled lunch or even worse not eat at all, your mood will reflect what you put in your body.

Crappy food = crappy mood.

No food = No energy. No energy makes you bitchy! You know it and I know it. Not to mention your body starts to freak out and thinks it needs to start storing fat for when you are starving yourself.

BUT, if you eat a lunch that has fresh vegetables, lean protein and healthy fats your body will have the fuel to run at an optimum level.

Healthy food = Healthy…. person, mood, and life.  All that is under your control, no one else’s.

What you eat feeds not only your brain but also your body. Your brain dictates how you react to tasks throughout the day, your emotional reaction to others and solving problems.

You need your brain to be well fed to help you to make smart decisions. Will I work out today?

If you have a sluggish brain, the answer will be “no”.

Now let’s talk about your body. We all have felt the sugar crash, feeling like we don’t have energy.

Your body dictates how much energy you have to complete the simplest to the most difficult of tasks.

Your brain dictates how you react to tasks throughout the day, your emotional reaction to others and solving problems. Both your brain and your body decide if you work out today.

If you want to be healthy your nutrition is the foundation. It is really a simple math equation.

Your Diet + Your Fitness = A better sense of your health and wellness

What dictates your diet and your fitness? You! Your control over what you put in your mouth is the single most important decision that affects all the other decisions in your life.

Without solid nutritional choices, your body won’t get you far. Eat lean meats, vegetables, fruits, little to no processed foods, and for crying out loud stop eating so much sugar.
