Fig Preserve

  • 16 ounces fresh black mission figs ends trimmed and quartered
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Place trimmed and quartered figs into a small baking dish and drizzle vinegar and honey over top.
  3. Toss to coat figs.
  4. Cover with aluminum foil
  5. Bake figs for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove and let cool a few minutes then puree in blender for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Store in an airtight container for 1-2 weeks.
