Healthy Snacking on the Go

25 Novby Amy25

Snack smart when you are on the go!  I always take a snack and a bottle of water with me when I head out the door.  I especially need something when I leave the gym and it is so important to fuel up after that workout.

Orchard Valley Trail Mix Snack on the Go | ahealhtylifeforme.com

Healthy Snacking on the Go!  It is so important to eat something after your workout, ideally within 30 minutes after your workout so your body doesn’t start burning muscle.   This is the optimal time to help with muscle recover and to help you avoid overeating later in the day.  Protein should make up the most of this meal or snack with plenty of fluids, WATER*WATER*WATER.

If you don’t have time for a meal grab a handful of nuts or trail mix.  Even If you’re not hungry, you should at least have a small snack. This will prevent you from waiting too long to eat and then overeating because you feel starving.

Orchard Valley Harvest snacks are a great choice to grab and go because of the proteins, healthy fats and fiber they offer.  Plus each pack has ingredients that are a full of antioxidants helping us to fight those free radicals.
Orchard Valley Harvest is a brand dedicated to offering products with great quality and taste. The nuts and fruits used are picked at their peak, minimally processed and have no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.  BONUS: the expansive product line is non-GMO project verified that can be found at your local Walmart store.

Why is Trail Mix a great grab and go snack?

Research shows that nuts are a healthy snack.  Calorie for calorie, nuts offer good nutritional value and heart health benfits along with high snack satisfy to keep you feeling full. Making it the perfect portable snack from the protein group.
