Blackberry Chocolate Pistachio Smoothie

I have been playing with this Blackberry Chocolate Pistachio Smoothie recipe trying to get the flavor just right.  I just knew that the combination of Blackberries, Chocolate, Pistachio and Coconut would be delicious.  I was right, sadly the day that I finally got the recipe exactly how I wanted it I didn’t get to enjoy it.  I had just taken a few drinks of my smoothie and decided to wash the dishes.  One dish that needed washing was a medium pyrex bowl, it slipped out of my hand when I was rinsing it and it fell into the sink, shattering into a thousand pieces.  There was glass everywhere, in my garbage disposal, under my stove and refrigerator, in the cracks of my hardwood floor and the sills of my windows.  In the middle of all that glass sat my perfectly ‘almost full’ glass of Blackberry Chocolate Pistachio Smoothie.  Sadly, after I spent forever making sure all the glass was out of the garbage disposal (not a fun job), I had to pour out the smoothie.  Though thankfully I had the recipe written and ready to share with all of you.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk I used Silk
  • 1/2 generous cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon shelled pistachios
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon + sprinkle for the top
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup fresh ice

Instructions

  • Fill blender with all ingredients and blend until ice is crushed.
  • Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
