These Omega Chocolate Bars are the perfect healthy chocolate pick me up. Loaded with Omega-3 nutrients and tons of antioxidants this is a candy bar you can feel good about eating and enjoying.
I do love a nice dark chocolate candy bar.
I can even confess to knowing exactly where the specialty dark chocolate candy bars are sold in each grocery store I visit.
The store always has them in the oddest places, in the organic section or next to the gourmet coffee {which is pretty genius if you think about it}, or next to the bulk items.
Well you get the idea, you must be a grocery store sluth to know where the stores keep the good stuff.
On top of having to know the secret location you typically need to take out a small loan to buy one of these gourmet dark chocolate bars! I mean REALLY! Too damn much for a candy bar.
Making Candy Health One Recipe at a Time.
So… being the good food blogger that I am, I made my own damn fabulous, delicious and decadent dark chocolate candy bars. AND, I made them healthy, cuz, why not!
A little bit of bittersweet dark chocolate, coconut oil, honey make up the base and then an Omega 3 mix of nuts, berries and seeds for the topping.
You can use whatever nuts, berries and seeds that are your favorite in the topping. Just try to add pumpkin or chia seeds to give you a good dose of Omega 3’s.
WHY YOU WANT TO MAKE THESE OMEGA CHOCOLATE BARS.
