The perfect fun Halloween drink the Jack-O’-Lantern Cocktail. Perfect to enjoy all throughout the spooky season.
The temperatures here have started to get cooler dropping down to the 50’s at night and only rising into the low 70’s during the day. Basically what I consider the perfect weather. No humidity or bugs, sweaters and jeans in the evening and shorts during the day. The sun has been shining and the skies have been blue and I have been trying to take advantage as much as I can. Walking the dogs, running, spending time in the garden and opening the windows getting fresh air throughout the house. Boy do I need to clean my windows. But, that is not the story for today.
Fall is my favorite season, the weather, the beautiful leaves changing colors and the food. I love pumpkin and pumpkin spice. Did you hear that they have a pumpkin spice shortage in Oklahoma. Really? Not sure why Oklahoma has the shortage, I mean can’t they just bring some in from Arkansas or Missouri? Geesh, share you Missourians.
With my love of pumpkin I have also been trying out new pumpkin recipes, I can’t resist. I have a paleo pumpkin chocolate donut recipe I have been perfecting. Its a tough job testing out all those donuts, but someone has to do it.
While this cocktail has no pumpkin in its ingredient list it certainly looks like a cute little pumpkin. Using an orange slice and a sliver of lime pith makes your glass turn into a Jack-O’-Lantern for you to enjoy.
