Morning Coffee is a Must!

I can’t go without my morning coffee and the people in my life can’t go without me having my morning coffee.  If you follow me here you know I have confessed that I am not in any way shape or form a morning person.  However, I wake up with two things on my mind, getting my coffee and filling my belly.

Coffee Banana Breakfast Smoothie

Servings: 1 serving


  • 1 banana
  • 1 shot of brewed espresso
  • 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder I use whey
  • 1 cup of almond milk or coconut milk
  • fresh ice
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds optional


  • Add all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour in glass and enjoy

      My espresso was warm, and if yours is hot I would add a bit of ice. Yes, you can use water instead of milk, though the flavor will not be as good.

    Sadly, I love the mornings! I am not a night owl in any form. I start to shut down after dinner and do my best work in the morning. But coffee is a must no matter what!
