Is it really almost the end of November? I know I say this all the time, but where in the heck has 2015 gone? I swear I was just standing in Fountain Square yelling “Happy New Year!”
With Thanksgiving over and done with, may it rest in peace, I am ready to get back on schedule and start eating a clean diet again. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed my stuffing and pumpkin pie right along side everyone else in the US of A, but I want no more breads, sauces or sugar. I want fruits and veggies. I ate an apple yesterday and it was AMAZING!
Now that I am back in my groove, I am going to be eating pretty tight clean diet to help reboot my systerm and one thing I always include in my reboots is smoothies. They are a great for getting in your fruits in veggies, and if you add in healthy fats and proteins you will give yourself an energy boost.
This satisfying double chocolate protein smoothie has vitamin C, magneseum, omega-3’s to help with inflammation and cleaning up our cholesterol. Iron to keep us strong and helps to keep our energy high.
Try this smoothie in the morning or after your workout. It will keep you moving and grooving throughout the day with a smile on your face and a spring in your step!

- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup coconut or almond milk
- 1/2 cup of fresh spinach
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon cocoa nibs
- Dash of cinnamon
- Ice if using fresh blueberries
- Add ingredients to blender and puree
- Pour into a glass top with extra blueberries and cocoa nibsseeds
