It’s spring time and this citrusy, bubbly Mandarin Vodka Spritzer is a perfect way to celebrate the season.
I am in love with little Mandarins in the store and they are so juicy that I thought they would be great in a cocktail.
When I was writing this recipe I originally had it as a Martini, but then when it was time to shoot the pictures I wanted to use a low ball glass and not a martini glass. Then I wasn’t sure if I could label it as a Martini, since it wasn’t in a Martini glass. I mean we drink Margaritas out of all types of glasses, but have you ever had a Martini in anything other than a Martini glass? I haven’t, so I went with the name Spritzer which fitted just as well since it is a chilled drink with club soda.
- ⅓ cup of freshly squeezed mandarin juice (about 4 mandarins)
- 2 ounces vodka
- ½ ounce of Cointreau or an orange liquor
- ½ ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
- Splash Club Soda
- Fresh Ice
- Lime wedge
- In a martini shaker add juices, vodka, and Cointreau. Shake to combine and pour into glass filled with fresh ice. Top with club soda and lime wedge.
