I had a wonderful Christmas; we went up north to visit family in Cleveland.

I tried to talk my husband into driving over to The Christmas Story house to check it out; it is the manโ€™s favorite holiday movie. Sadly we ran out of time, and didnโ€™t get or chance to check out the window with the famous leg lamp.

We are back home and I am organizing our New Years Celebration plans. Part of the plans is what cocktail will we have in our hands when we toast the New Year.

Champagne must be involved not only because it synonymous with wishing in the New Year, but because I love my Champagne!

I really donโ€™t need an excuse to drink champagne, but on New Yearโ€™s I may enjoy a glass or two or three. Pink, Sweet, Brut you name it, I like it, but I really like mixing liquors, fruit, and spirits to enjoy.ย ย  If you get the right combination of flavors you can have a pretty amazing cocktail to enjoy.

This Sparkling Pear Cocktail is a great combination of flavors, the brandy is warm, the pear nectar is sweet and the champagne adds the bubbly. Making an all around fabulous toasting flute of bubbly.

I hope you and your family have a safe and happy New Year.

Cheers!
