Todays cocktail comes from my good friends Janet & Joey. Sounds like a name for a great sitcom…ehh?
Janet & Joey are a mother and son team of awesome mixologists. Whenever Janet throws a party they work together to come up with some amazing party themed cocktails. If you remember Janet is the guru behind my Cucumber Martini, which is a refreshing summer zinger.
Well, they have outdone themselves with this cheeky cocktail. I loved it mostly because it uses jalapeno’s but also because of its use of fresh citrus. With the amount of peppers and chiles in my garden, what better way to enjoy them than in a cocktail. I did a switcheroo, I exchanged Honey for the Agave and fresh Grapefruit for bottled.
Without further ado, here is Janet & Joeys Lip Plump Punch…..
Be warned this ones got a kick. I first made this cocktail for a backyard summer soirée.
It’s perfect for lady’s who lunch because you won’t be able to tell who’s bee-stung-lips are made of silicone – and whose are au naturale.
In a large pitcher combine the following ingredients:
12 oz Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
12 oz Club Soda
9 oz Fresh Squeezed lime juice (none of that plastic bottled stuff – because let’s be honest nothing plastic feels or tastes the same)
6 oz Light Agave Nectar
3 Jalapeños (sliced and seeds removed)
A pinch (or three of salt)
Stir well and pour over ice in a double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a jalapeño or grapefruit slice. Remember to re-stir as ingredients will settle. Best enjoyed when recipe is doubled (or tripled).
