Pear-fect Cocktail

3 Novby Amy2

The Pear-fect Cocktail is simply delicious!  With Thanksgiving only nineteen days away.. yes, nineteen days, it is time to start thinking about what we will be serving to our family and friends over the holidays.  As I walked down the isles of the produce section at the grocery store and saw the beautiful pears, I thought a cocktail would be a wonderful way to showcase their deliciousness and would make a great drink to toast all we are Thankful for this year.  I had my Pear infused Vodka at home, which helped me come up with this recipe and if you have never tried Licor 43, oh my, it is a spanish citrus and vanilla flavored liqueur, that paired perfectly with the Pear Vodka.

  • Ice
  • 3/4 ounce pear vodka
  • 3/4 ounce Licor 43
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 ounce cream soda
  • 1 ounce chilled ginger ale
  • 1 or 2 pear slices, for garnish (optional)

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

Add all of the remaining ingredients except the ginger ale and pear slices shake well.

Strain into your glass and top with the ginger ale and garnish with the pear slices.

Just tried cream soda for the first time and went to look for cocktail recipes with pear… looks really good, and just what I was looking for.

Although I would watch out with the cream soda and shaking.. since it’s carbonated, I know it’s only half an ounce but if you don’t want a messy kitchen then add it after 🙂
