Blood Orange Rosemary Fizz Cocktail

28 Sepby Amy0

Blood Orange Rosemary Fizz Cocktail is a refreshing fizzy cocktail is a great way to enjoy blood oranges while they are in season.

Blood Orange Rosemary Gin Sprite   Blood oranges are on the counter at the grocery store.  Have you ever had a blood orange?  They are so freaking sweet and because of the darker color carry antioxidants that are uncommon in citrus.  They tend to be a little harder to peel but they are worth the extra time.

I have been coming up with stuffed chicken breast recipes and one combination was oranges with rosemary.  So, when I was thinking of what to serve with my Blood Orange and Gin cocktail,  I immediately thought of the lovely rosemary.  Walked out to the garden and snatched a few branches off the plant and got in the kitchen to give it a try.  Which  is why I shot photos as I was making the cocktail.  It was a beautiful day out and the light was shining through the Gin bottle and so I said what the heck, they can see how messy I am when I am in my mixology zone.

I ended up using sprite as a topper which I would recommend, the lemon-lime sweetness was a perfect blend.
