Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade is a southern cool delight.

Last week we went to South Beach for a week and we had the pleasure of eating at a restaurant called Yardbird. There theme is homestyle southern and there specialty is fried chicken, waffles and watermelon and don’t let me forget their buttermilk biscuits, which are to DIE for.
They also do a lot of specialty cocktails infusing their own alcohol, bourbon being their specialty.
While we waited for our table we talked to the bartender who had just moved to Miami from New York and filled us in on where to eat, hang out, what to order and when to go. For a guy who just moved to Florida, he was a wealth of information. He told us to try Yardbirds Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade, which we did, and we loved. I asked our new friend for the recipe and he was kind enough to share. Let me just tell you, I am not a big bourbon fan, but this cocktail, it is so freakin’good. We ordered a few while we ate dinner, and looking around the restaurant we weren’t the only ones who were enjoying this flavorful cocktail. The combo of the tart blackberries and lemon with the bourbon just makes a great mixed cocktail, and the hint of cardamon is genius. With all my cocktail recipes I share here this is a simple cocktail to whip up.
