You may or may not know that I am one of those crazy CrossFit people. Â One thing I have figured out after six months of doing this sport is that I always seem to be sore, sometimes just a bit here or there and sometimes “oh my Lordy I can’t get off the toilet sore.” Â You know when you are cursing the fact that you are female and the toilet is so low to the ground.
So, with me sore all the time, I pretty much am obsessed with trying to eat the proper foods that not only help my muscles with recovery but help me keep lean and mean. Â Which means lots of protein to help aid in the repair of my muscle fibers but also in replenishing depleted energy stores.
These Double Chocolate Coconut Protein Brownies are not only darkly delicious, loaded with tons of coconut flavor but they have dried cherries in there to give a dose of antioxidants and fiber. Â I certainly enjoy a bar and occasionally two after my workout, or when I want something to satisfy my sweet tooth.
