Dracula’s Kiss

Halloween is a celebration of the dead, a time to dress up and pretend, eat candy, and drink ghoulish cocktails.  Here is a cocktail to impress, Dracula’s Kiss Halloween Cocktail, a little sweet and a little naughty.

Dracula's Kiss Cocktail Recipe for Halloween | ahealthylifeforme.com

I started pulling out the Halloween decorations and got inspired to make a great goulash cocktail.  True Blood reruns were on the T.V. (yes I do watch it to the horror of my entire family) and voila Dracula’s Kiss was born.  I must say as I was making it I was thinking of dedicating this cocktail to a more evil Vampire, the original and best Dracula.  Bram Stroker wasn’t thinking about love interests when he wrote the iconic novel.  He did base the main character Dracula after Vlad the Impaler, the 15th-century Transylvanian-born prince also known as Vlad III Dracula of Wallachia a guy who would impale his enemies on a stick.  Definitely, not a love interest, but Dracula is the most famous of all Vampires, therefore this drink is named after him.  Plus I didn’t think Bill’s Kiss would make you think of Halloween.

If you missed my recipe on how to infuse your vodka with Cherries,  you can find it (here).  You can use your own infused vodka which I did, or you can pick up Cherry flavored Vodka at your spirits store.  Add a splash of Grenadine for color and dark cola for sweetness and bubbles,  you will have a kiss to remember.  Kiss Kiss.

I made the Dracula’s Kiss for my blog’s Thirsty Thursday series and it’s delicious! Make sure you use regular soda though! Had to throw out the first batch because with diet it tastes like cough medicine! BLEH! LOL. Thanks for posting these. Can’t wait to try a few more of them 🙂
