Let’s be clear, smoothies aren’t just for breakfast anymore. Especially when you have the flavors of homemade chocolate banana shake.  Who doesn’t love a shake after a workout or as a little pick me up between meals?

AllWhites Egg WhitesAllWhites® Egg Whites asked me to recreate one of their recipes to share with you guys, and I knew I wanted to try and share their Carob Nut Protein Smoothie.  This recipe is perfectly balanced with lean proteins, carbohydrates and healthy fats.  Making it an awesome way to jump start your metabolism in the morning or recover after a sweaty workout with over 20 grams of protein. I must confess I have made it my mid afternoon pick me up.

I left my crossfit class last week, drenched, exhausted and sore.  When I got home I threw this shake together and it hit the spot.  It filled me up and gave me the boost I needed.

If you are wondering you can findAllWhites® in the refrigerated dairy section of your grocery store.

I also like adding egg whites to my regular eggs in the morning for the extra protein, minus the additional calories.  I feel guilty when I throw away the yolks, so this helps me with my egg guilt.  Yes, that is a thing, I promise.

AllWhites® 100% liquid egg whites is a convenient, fat-free, cholesterol-free and low-calorie alternative to regular eggs – ideal when it comes to fueling your fitness goals and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. They’re a lean source of protein and can be used in any recipe that calls for eggs.
